Mobile Hotspot Configuration Manual

📱 iPhone (iOS)

🔹 Step 1: Enable Hotspot

Open Settings.
Tap Personal Hotspot.
Toggle Allow Others to Join to ON.

📌 If you don’t see “Personal Hotspot,” go to Settings > Cellular > Personal Hotspot.

🔹 Step 2: Set Wi-Fi Password

Still under Personal Hotspot, tap on Wi-Fi Password to set or change your password.
Choose a secure password (at least 8 characters).

🔹 Step 3: Connect Devices

On another device, search for your iPhone in the Wi-Fi list.
Enter the password you just set.

🤖 Android

⚠️ Android settings may vary slightly depending on your phone brand and Android version.

🔹 Step 1: Enable Hotspot

Open Settings.
Go to Network & Internet or Connections.
Tap Hotspot & Tethering.
Select Wi-Fi Hotspot.
Toggle the switch to ON.

🔹 Step 2: Configure Hotspot

Tap Wi-Fi Hotspot (or Set up Wi-Fi Hotspot).
Change:
- Network name (SSID) – Give your hotspot a name.
- Password – Set a secure password (minimum 8 characters).
- Security – Ensure WPA2-Personal is selected.
Save changes.

🔹 Step 3: Connect Devices

On another device, find the hotspot name in the Wi-Fi list.
Enter the password when prompted.

🧠 Tips

🔋 Hotspot drains your battery quickly – plug your phone into a charger if you’re using it for a long time.
📶 Keep the phone close to your other device for better signal.
🔒 Always use a password to stop others from connecting without your permission.
🔌 Important: Don’t forget to unplug the network cable from your laptop or docking station. Otherwise, your laptop might not realize it should use the hotspot!
